Since my first computer engineering class, I've been fascinated by how hardware and software work together to solve real-world problems. As a recent graduate in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science, I love the challenge of building projects from the ground up. My approach to engineering is much like my approach to a game of chess, it's about strategic thinking, anticipating challenges, and planning for the most optimal solution. My portfolio showcases this passion through various projects, and I'm eager to bring this same level of dedication to a new engineering role.
Remote-Controlled IV Pump System
Developed a remote-controlled IV pump system using a Raspberry Pi interface to allow nurses to adjust IV dosages without entering patient rooms. The project involved reverse-engineering a BD Alaris PC Unit and creating a touchscreen GUI that replicates the pump’s controls for safe, efficient remote operation. The system reduces infection risks and improves hospital workflow through the integration of embedded systems, signal analysis, and healthcare technology.
Autonomous RoboCar Development
Developed a multi-mode autonomous vehicle using a Raspberry Pi 4 running C and Linux to explore real-time embedded control and sensor integration. The car featured five distinct drive modes including manual, line tracing, laser following, gyro-based heading, and fully autonomous navigation. A custom data acquisition engine using POSIX threads and I²C sensors enabled precise motion tracking at 100 Hz with sub-second latency. The project demonstrated stable and responsive control with accurate path following while integrating concepts in real-time systems, control theory, and embedded hardware design.
